I recently attended the “Shambavi Maha Mudra program” also
called as “Inner Engineering” conducted by Isha “Sadhguru”. Sadhguru has truly
changed my life. I may have used this sentence before, but now I truly mean it.
I have attended Vedanta classes, listened to stories and done a lot of things.
However, nothing equaled the experience of going through this program. It was
as if my ignorance was erased and my mind was illuminated. Because of this
illumination, I experienced joy and love within me. I understood it was all
within me.
I want to share a story that Sadhguru narrated during this
program. There was a saint who once noticed a fox that was injured and had lost
its legs. However, the fox was very well fed.
The saint wondered where he got his food since the fox seemed like it
was unable to walk. Then another day the saint noticed that a lion came and
gave some meat which it had gathered during his hunting. The saint thought hard and realized that the
universe was sending him a signal. The
universe was saying that as a saint his food and needs would be provided by the
universe and that he did not have to go in search of it.
He sat and started doing his penance for 3-4 days without
food. However no food came to him as he had expected. An another saint was passing by to whom he
narrated his story.
The other saint said “The universe indeed was sending you a
signal. However why did you consider yourself a disabled fox when you could
have considered yourself a generous lion?”
